If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. 1. (S) On 2/16/09 at approximately XXXXXXXXXXXX local time, the RSO Office received a telephone threat from a caller identified as XXXXXXXXXXXX. Speaking in Arabic, the caller reported that he was worried about his friend XXXXXXXXXXXX as he has been befriended by Pakistanis who have convinced him to commit a terrorist act against the Embassy this week by means of blowing himself up.

2. (S) The caller sounded worried and anxious and wants to help his friend. The Pakistanis allegedly have weapons. The caller does not know of their whereabouts during the day, but indicated that the Pakistani,s come to XXXXXXXXXXXX. The caller indicated that the Pakistanis also visit XXXXXXXXXXXX who is located in the same neighborhood (XXXXXXXXXXXX). The caller indicated that he would call back and hung up.

3. (S) RSO passed information to other agencies at Post and will coordinate to provide the information to Egyptian authorities.

4. (S) RSO will monitor situation and will work with other agencies as appropriate. SCOBEY
